Unleash Your Creative Potential With The Help of These 5 Instagram Design Accounts

Stuck in a creative rut? The automatic solution would be to look at what other people are doing. Aside from going on specific platforms for designers to find ideas, like Dribble or Pinterest, sometimes it helps to look into creators on more general platforms, such as Instagram. Luckily, I have already looked into some for you. Here are 5 of my top Instagram accounts that I turn to for design inspiration.

@briefclub

Brief Club is a community made for “passionate creatives”. Whether it is designers looking to spruce up their portfolio, or fellow innovative minds wanting to network with one another, Brief Club is there to help! This account posts weekly design prompts for people to respond to with their own designs. I tried it out myself last year when they posted a design brief for a make-up brand called “Face It” that needed a logo and package design.

My favorite part about Brief Club is seeing the ideas that other designers come up with. When I finished my version of this brief, I immediately looked up the other designers’ work for this project and was immediately blown away and inspired.

@kristy.thepinkpony

Kristy Campbell, director of Pink Pony Creative, is another designer and business owner that I admire. Her work heavily tailors to her clients and each project has its own unique look. She makes it a priority to show these projects on her feed which can help other designers when they are working with similar clients. She also frequently makes Instagram Reels with tips and tricks for aspiring creatives, such as “How to get out of a Creative Block”, or “Confused about CC Libraries? I’ve Got You Covered!”

@abileedesigns

Abi is a graphic designer, branding expert, and entrepreneur with the mission of helping other aspiring female business owners. She posts a lot of her work on her page, which could inspire others, but what drew me to her page specifically were the mood boards she posts weekly. Sometimes I struggle with finding the right color scheme for the right project, and I’ve found that looking through her feed has helped me several times when I am in a creative block.

@typespire

Looking to improve your typography skills? Look no further, Typespire is here to help! This account is helpful if you are looking for type inspiration. They provide resources such as calligraphy sheets, typography courses, Creative Market fonts, and different artwork with abstract typography on their feed.

@studiostandard_

Studio Standard is a creative-based studio that specializes in creating and selling Adobe templates. Their Instagram account is dedicated to posting mockups for different kinds of design projects. Once or twice a week, they will post their latest photo mockup, and allow people to shop for them in their store so they are free to use them for their design work.

Whether you're a professional graphic designer, an aspiring designer looking for creative content, or just someone who just likes to learn more about the design industry, these accounts are sure to offer something beneficial. Follow these accounts today and unleash your potential to create something memorable!
