Moonrise Cafe Social Media Package

Background:
Moonrise Cafe, a small, family-owned business in North Haven, Connecticut, wanted to revamp its social media presence to attract more customers and increase its online visibility. They had a Facebook page and an Instagram account, but their posts were sporadic, inconsistent, and lacked engagement.
The main objectives of the project were to rebrand their Facebook and Instagram pages and create a cohesive social media package and email blasts that would increase their online presence, boost engagement, and ultimately drive more customers to their cafe.
Process:
I began the project by analyzing the cafe's current social media presence. I looked at their past posts and the type of content that performed well in their industry.
When beginning this project for Moonrise Cafe in North Haven, I thought the best approach was to do research on the area the cafe was in.
Once doing this research, it was easier for me to get an idea of what potential customers would be coming into the cafe. I used census.gov to get an overall summary of the demographics in North Haven and found these statistics.

Wireframes & Content Gathering:
During this phase of the project, I thought of the structure of the different email blasts and envisioned what I wanted them to look like. I also began going to Moon Rise in person to shoot content for Instagram posts, Reels, and Facebook posts.
For the first day of content gathering, I purchased some items off of their menu and took several photos of each to use for content. I then ended up going back to Moon Rise a week later to do a photoshoot with one of the staff members for a specific post idea I had. They were all super nice and excited to help in any way they can!
