Objectives

The primary objective of this project was to create visually appealing print collateral, including posters and a postcard, to inform Jostens employees about their open enrollment dates and the associated procedures. The design needed to align with Jostens' branding guidelines while effectively communicating the pertinent information to employees.

Client Background:

Jostens is a renowned provider of products and services that help people celebrate important moments, recognize achievements, and build affiliations.

With a diverse workforce spread across various locations, effective communication with employees is paramount, especially regarding benefits enrollment.

Design Process:   

Research & Ideation:

The design process commenced with a thorough review of Jostens' branding guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence with their existing visual identity. Additionally, research was conducted into effective communication methods for conveying complex information like benefit enrollment dates and processes.

Ideation involved brainstorming concepts that would resonate with Jostens' employees while emphasizing the importance of open enrollment. Visual elements such as imagery, color schemes, and typography were carefully considered to evoke a sense of clarity, trustworthiness, and excitement.

Creation:

Based on the research and ideation phase, the design team crafted mockups for both the posters and postcard. The design prominently featured Jostens' logo and incorporated vibrant colors from their brand palette to grab attention. The imagery selected depicted their target audience, which was students wanting to capture their memories from their education.

Clear and concise messaging was implemented to inform employees of the open enrollment dates, deadlines, and the necessary steps to take. The typography choices ensured legibility and hierarchy, guiding the viewer's eye through the information seamlessly.

Results:

The final print collateral successfully captured the essence of Jostens' brand while effectively communicating the open enrollment information to employees. The posters served as a prominent visual cue in common areas within Jostens' facilities, while the postcard was distributed directly to employees' mailboxes for easy reference.

The design received positive feedback from both the Human Resources Department and employees, with many expressing appreciation for the clarity and visual appeal of the materials. The cohesive branding and compelling imagery helped generate excitement and engagement around the open enrollment process.

Success of the Project:

The project achieved its objectives by delivering print collateral that not only aligned with Jostens' branding but also effectively communicated essential information to employees. The materials served as valuable tools in facilitating a smooth and organized open enrollment process, ultimately contributing to employee satisfaction and participation. Furthermore, the project demonstrated the design team's ability to translate complex information into visually engaging assets that resonate with the target audience.
